We will be taking a field trip to the WACF on September 20. Permission slips will be coming home soon. There is no cost for this trip. We will be eating lunch at school like normal. We will need a limited number of parent volunteers. You can drive separately and meet us there. You must have a background check on file to attend. Please contact me via parent square if you are interested and I will get you paperwork to fill out. Thank you!

Thanks for working on reading every night and filling out the book log! A new book log for homework will come home every Friday. This is for their Monday through Thursday homework. They are to read for 20 minutes each night and have an adult sign their reading log. Completed reading logs get turned in Friday morning. Thanks for helping your child become a better reader by practicing at home.

If your child does not know how to tie shoes please practice this skill at home with them.

Also students should know how to spell their last name. Please practice this as well.

Library day is Wednesday.  A good place to keep library books is in the bookbag when they are not being read.  Then students have them whenever they need them.  Thank you!

Because our lunch time is noon, we are having snack time in the morning.  Your child is welcome to bring a healthy snack for themselves each day.  Dry cereal, granola bars, crackers, fruit, or vegetables are good choices.

Please remember to check your child’s backpack and green folder daily for communication. The green folder should come home each day and return to school each day.

Stay updated with messages from the school via email and parent square.  Parent Square and email are the two ways you can contact me regarding school things.  We have a class facebook page and a blog but if you send me a message through those I may not get them.  They are only for sharing information.
