Note: We ARE attending school on Good Friday, March 29. This is a change from the past.

Beach Day is March 29! Your child may wear a hat, sunglasses, bright clothes, and bring a towel (no swimwear, please).

What we are working on for the next few weeks:

  • reading comprehension– using words with prefixes and suffixes in sentences, chronological order, inflectional endings, context clues, and text features.
  • phonics & spelling– adding suffixes and prefixes onto words, with spelling changes
  • math– continuing in measurement, arrays

Upcoming Events:

  • March 29  Beach Day at 1:30
  • April 1st-5th:  Spring Break
  • April 8   school resumes and Eclipse Day – note sent home previously (in parent square) to extend our school day by 20 minutes to view the eclipse.  If poor weather should occur, we will remain at school those 20 minutes and have an alternative plan.
  • May 2  Walk-A-Thon (May 3  Walk-A-Thon Rain Date)

HOMEWORK

  • ***If your child does not know how to tie their shoes, they should be practicing daily at home. If your child has lace ups (either their regular shoes or their gym shoes) they should be tying them THEMSELVES. Thank you for working on this with them.***
  • STUDENTS ARE TO READ 20 MINUTES EACH NIGHT.
    • Your child is bringing home a reading log each week to fill out and return on Fridays.
