newsletter 5/19/23

Thanks for a great year! Students are looking forward to their ice cream party to celebrate their math fact accomplishments this year – Thanks to all of you that sent in items to make it special!

This will be the last newsletter for the year. Friday, May 26th is the last day. See the upcoming events below for other things going on next week.

PLEASE send an EMPTY backpack with your child every day next week. They will be bringing home a few things each day in order to not be overloaded on the last day. Please help them empty out their backpack each night so they have room for new things the next day.

Friday, May 5 – Relay for Life Walkathon – grade 2 walks from 9:30-10:00
Food for America walking field trip to WHS – We will be walking to Wawasee High School to learn about where our food comes from. Our class walks over at 1:30 and returns shortly before dismissal.

Our field trip to Science Central is Tuesday, May 9. All chaperones and students need to bring a disposable sack lunch with a drink. We will not be bringing anything back so please don’t sent reusable lunch bags, silverware, or water bottles.

HOMEWORK

  • STUDENTS ARE TO READ 20 MINUTES EACH NIGHT.
    • Your child is bringing home a reading log each week to fill out and return on Fridays.
