Newsletter 9-1-17

  • Library day is Wednesday each week.

This week we went to library for the first time.  Children should bring home their books to read.  I ask that they keep them in their backpack to bring back and forth so that we can read them at school too.  This also help cut down on losing library books.  Thank you!

  • Homework for Hays Corner
    • read 10-15 minutes each night
    • practice math facts

Most days at school we do a timed fact test on the hayscorner.wordpress.com website.  If your child has internet at home, they can use this to practice in the evenings.  If not, I sent home a flashcard packet for you to cut apart and use for practice.  If you did not get one and need it just let me know and I’ll send another.  I will leave a comment at the bottom of their scored screenshot in seesaw to let them know when they advance to the next level.  If there is no comment they are not ready to advance and should do the same test again.  You can pass with a score of 19/20.

Looking ahead:

  • Monday September 4th:  No school.  Labor Day
  • Wednesday, September 6th:  Fundraiser forms due
  • Sunday, September 10th:  Community Open House for new SES. 2:00-4:00 pm
  • Sept 11th-15th – Digital Citizenship Week
  • Thursday, September 14th:  Student picture day

  1. The math homework you sent home said to go to hayscorner.wordpress.com and click on a tab on left but I do not see any tabs, just newsletter. Can you please guide me as to where to go? Thank you!
